Hello fellow foodies,
Today I want to share one of my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes! I stumbled upon this recipe a couple of years ago and it is a crowd pleaser!
It’s a super simple recipe! Great addition to your holiday cookie plates or parties 🙂
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup flour**
- 1 1/4 cup cake mix (white or vanilla)**
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1.5 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips**
- 1/2 cup sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350 bake 10-12min
**I like using pastry flour but you can use all purpose. I also use confetti cake mix and don’t add sprinkles. The pudding one by Betty Crocker is really good 😉 I like to use 1/2 cup mini choclate chips and 1/2 cup white chocolate chips.
The instructions are similar to most cookie recipes. Cream the butter and sugar. Add in the egg and vanilla. Mix in the dry ingredients. Stir or mix in the chocolate chips.
Cover and refrigerate 2-3hrs. The longer the better! The original recipe site even sugguested using frozen balls but I haven’t.
The trick to these is take a tablespoon of dough and forming a tall mound instead of a ball.
I’m not a perfectionist so mine usually come out like this 😉
Let them cool and then they are ready to eat and share!
Super easy and so good!
Happy baking,
