Chocolate cake cookies

Hello fellow foodies,

On my dad’s side  I have an aunt who always makes something delicious each time we visit! The last time we visited she asked if we wanted to bake cookies.

She calls these the “pretend I care cookies” (since they take such little effort)! They’re requested all the time and easy to make last minute since they don’t need to be refrigerated.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box duncan hunes devils food cake**
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/4-1/3 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 bake for 10min

**My aunt has tried a few different chocolate cake mixes and said this one  works best.

Simply mix everything together and stir or mix in the chocolate chips.

The oats aren’t necessary  but I always add them. I also do 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips and 1/2cup of white.

I take a tablespoon and just spoon and place on a baking sheet.

After they bake you can tap the pan on the counter to flatten them or leave them as is, which I normally do.

Seriously one of the most effortless cookie recipes you’ll ever make! Great addition to any holiday plate or party!

Happy baking,
