Hello fellow diaper bag lovers,
Today I wanted to write about a highly requested Lily Jade bag comparison.
The Madeline and Shaylee are the 2 smallest bags in the 2.0 line released last fall.
They are fairly similar in size it just depends if you are a vertical or horizontal packer.
What I packed inside both bags:
- 5 cloth diapers
- Medium size wet bag
- Sippy cup
- 1 medium jujube set piece with snacks
- 1 medium jujube set piece with 2 spare toddler outfits.
- Swaddle blanket
- Boogie board
- Step 1 reader (book)
- Small jujube set piece with first side and mommy essentials
- Small jujube set piece with 6 hotwheel cars
Note: The 25oz waterbottle fits in the outside pocket of the Madeline. It also fits in the Shaylee but the 17oz fits better.
I know a big question is if a wrap can fit in the Madeline. I simply took out one of the cloth diapers and put the medium set pieces next to each other. It fit perfectly with those adjustments!
Without taking anything out of the Shaylee you could fit the solly wrap on top but it was a tight squeeze. It is not as wide as the Madeline so fitting it inside of the center would require taking out a couple of diapers. The swaddle blanket fits perfectly on top but not both.
What I currently carry…
I have an almost 4yr old and 18month old.I usually use disposable diapers when I’m out and about and pack my dslr camera (canon 80D).
Only thing different is both medium set pieces have snacks (one for each). Dont pack any spare outfits and I put the disposable diapers where the medium wet bag was. I also put another sippy cup instead of a swaddle blanket.
These are both great bags! The shaylee has the flexibilty of throwing something on top and the madeline has more accesible outside pockets. If you pack vertically I would get the Shaylee. If you pack horizontally I would get the Madeline. They are pretty close in size!
Madeline is simply wider and Shaylee is taller. If you have any questions feel free to message me or comment below!
