Turkey Bacon Burgers

Hello fellow foodies,

Sharing this week’s recipes a little earlier in preparation for the 4th of July!

I know many people will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs so wanted to quickly share this turkey burger recipe. I shared another one of our favorite hearty burger recipes a while back.

We had some bacon that needed to be used up and than I just threw in the rest of the seasonings and it turned out really good.

Ingredients: (serves 6-8)

  • 1-1.5 lb. lean ground beef
  • 8 slices turkey bacon, chopped (I did 10, 8 would be better)
  • 1tbs worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tbs steak sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 tbs liquid smoke (optional)
  • 1 tbs mustard
  • 1 Tbs. dried minced onions
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper

Burger Condiments:

  • 8 buns (wheat or white)
  • lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  •  dill pickle slices
  • 2 sweet onions, sliced

Sauce: (could get away with only making half a recipe)

  • ½ cup olive oil mayo
  • ½ cup plain yogurt (greek)
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • Sea salt & pepper to taste

We like to use our George foreman but whatever you’re using heat it up to medium/high.

Next mix together all the ingredients for the burgers.

Once mixed throughly divided it into 8 balls.

Form hamburgers and cook until your preference is reached.

While grilling the hamburgers mix up your burger and fry sauce.

Once the burgers are done add desired condiments.

We served them with sweet potato fries. (The ones at Winco are never orange 🤔) you can find my recipe for those here only difference is without the fish you cook 15-17min flip and cook an additional 15-17min so it’s a little faster. Remember I soak them for 30min so set aside the right amount of time 🙂

Our kids devoured these! We are all big burger fans though!

Let me know if these make it into your Holliday festivities!

Happy eating,
