Instant pot spaghetti

Hello fellow foodies,

I ordered this 8qt instant pot for Amazon prime day and I’m in love 😍

My friend sent me this recipe and it took about 30min start to finish.

It is an “instant” pot but needs to heat, seal, and release steam at the end so keep that in mind.  I also doubled the recipe below.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion diced onion
  •  1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce (24 oz)
  • 1.5c water
  • 8 oz spaghetti noodles
  •  2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt optional, to taste

  • 1/2tbs of fresh parsley, basil, cilantro
  • 1 small minced garlic

Put Instant Pot on saute.

Add olive oil, onions, and garlic and cook until onions are translucent.

 Add ground beef and brown.

Update: I like to add in some fresh herbs and garlic (listed above) to add additional flavor to the meat.

Turn IP to manual, high pressure.

Add jar of spaghetti sauce, water, break noodles into 3rds and push noodles into liquid until they are covered. (do not stir)

Secure lid, close steam valve and set to 10 minutes (if you want more al dente set for a bit less time).

Quick release when it beeps, stir and serve.

It was sooo good and sooo easy! The leftovers tasted even better!

Let me know if you try it out!

Happy eating,
