Instant Pot Mac n Cheese

Hello fellow foodies,

We’ve had so much family visiting that I havent had a lot of time to try out new recipes. I have fallen in love with my instant pot though!  We’ve had the spaghetti with each visitor.

This time I was inspired to try a recipe from six sisters. Instant pot macaroni and cheese.  Because sometimes you just need something quick and easy that you know your kids will eat! 

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz elbow pasta 
  • 2.5-3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups of sharp cheese
  • Few drops of hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbs dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbs butter

First put noodles in the instant pot and cover with chicken broth. I do 3 cups to make sure all the noodles are covered. Select manual, high pressure, and set timer for 5min.

Once timer goes off do the quick release and switch to sautee. I put the milk, butter, mustard and hot sauce in a bowl so it’s easy to mix in. 

Once butter is melted add the cheese until cheese is melted 1-2min. 

Super quick and easy! We served it with dinosaur chicken nuggets and watermelon. You’re welcome 😘
